But I was working to satisfy the expectations of others. I often felt a bit out of place and had a growing feeling I was supposed to be doing something else. I often felt stuck in my career and in my life. Do you? I was becoming increasingly more interested in developing people than in developing products.
In 2008 I decided to take the bold, and at times scary, step to transition from engineering to coaching. I really enjoy being around and coaching technical professionals but I have now worked with clients from a variety of backgrounds ranging in age from 20 to 70 with many different kinds of issues.
I approach coaching with the beliefs that:
- the client is creative, resourceful, and whole.
- there is perfection in every situation.
- there is always a solution.

My name is Larry Curtis.
I was an engineer and manager for more than 30 years before I discovered my life's purpose.
I had become an engineer because a well meaning high school guidance counselor told me I had the aptitude for it. I didn't have a clue what engineers did, but I didn't have a better idea so I took the advice. I spent the next 3 decades in what most would call a successful career. You can judge for yourself, my resume is below.
